Topic: Support and Troubleshooting / link with an existing site for images The issue with this, to be clear, is that most phones (or more pertinently, most browsers on phones) won’t play the flash object. The Volantis framework, on which Ubik is built, does support flash (or rather, it allows flash objects to be sent selectively to phones which allow them), but the feature right now is sufficiently rare that it’s not really worth providing the option. |

Topic: Support and Troubleshooting / RSS Just to update this, RSS feeds are now supported. They aren’t visible in the templates (yet) but you can customise a page and add an RSS feed section to it. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Customized Subscription Amit The Ubik.com runtime uses the Volantis mobility server as its underlying runtime, so the pages are stored in an enhanced XHTML2 format (we implement a standard called DIAL). The mobility server is also available for free, under an open source license. The intention is to be able to export the Ubik.com sites into mobility server so you can use the Volantis development tools (also free) to edit them there. At this time we have no intention of charging for any of these services. Best wishes |

Topic: Feature Requests / add driving directions The cheap answer is to type them in. More seriously, Volantis built a framework “widget” (for more about the Volantis widget framework, see http://opensource.volantis.com/article/framework_demo) which displayed Google maps, and UBIK in turn had it enabled through a “section” (one of the areas you can drag and drop into a page when you customise a page). But we’re prevented from making it available by Google’s legal restrictions. We’re looking at enabling someone else’s mapping API instead but it may take a while. |

Topic: General Discussion / Search Engines We have code to automatically add google sitemaps when publishing. It’s one of the new features we plan to switch on in the next month or so. |
