Topic: General Discussion / PayPal Donate button???

Hi,

first sorry for late reply, i somehow missed your question in this thread.

PayPal Buy button is coming at some point, but i don’t have time estimate at the moment.

There were some technical issues with implementing the PayPal purchasing, so we started with donations only.

Topic: General Discussion / PayPal Donate button???

PayPal has two buttons is uses for two different purposes. The “donate” button is used for donations or not-for-profit organizations. The regular PayPal button is used for all other businesses.

However, I was very upset to see only one PayPal button. I am not a 501 (3) © and the donation button will not work for me. I do not want my clients to donate what they want because I have set prices.

When will you have the regular PayPal button I can customize and use?

Topic: General Discussion / commercial use

Hello,

UBIK.com is free of charge for any use conforming to Terms&Conditions, so it’s ok to use for commercial purpose (actually many of the templates are aimed at business cases).

if the Ubik tool is used to create a commercial mobile site (so to support a for profit company), is it still free? Thus, can anyone use this non charge licence at all times and in all circumstances?

Hi,

at the moment it’s not possible to see list of other user sites, we’ll enable search and user sites browsing along with some other social features soon though.

Topic: General Discussion / icon by name

HI,

to get personal picture in forums, you need to use Gravatar service – it’s free and quick to set up, just go to “http://www.gravatar.com/” and sign up with the email account you used for your ubik registration.

Then you can assign icon to this email, and it will be shown on all Gravatar compatible services (such us ubik forums) where you use the same email.

Please note it takes some time to sync the new picture, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes longer.

Topic: General Discussion / Search Engines

Well, we let the actual submission to users, as the site is their property and their decision if the it should be easily discovered by search engines and visitors. For personal sites, users might actually prefer that sites are somewhat hidden.

Having sitemaps support has nothing to do with getting indexed. That’s like pouring water in the dirt and hoping a seed will drop to grow a plant. You need to proactively submit URLs to Google to inform their crawlers that you want to get indexed. Geez.

We have code to automatically add google sitemaps when publishing. It’s one of the new features we plan to switch on in the next month or so.

I added the UBIK URL to the .com website version so hopefully that will help get the UBIK site noticed.

Here is the query showing all the pages from published mobilizer sites indexed by Google: click

Not so many pages yet, but we need to give Google time to index them.

Sites created by Mobilizer are accessible to browsers so they should be accessible to web crawlers as well. However to have a site showing in the search engines, a site must get indexed. You may want to add a mobile site URL to the search engine. For example: http://www.google.com/addurl/

I was wondering if any one’s pages are showing up in any of the search engines?
